The structure of Ghanaian traditional music has remained unchanged throughout history and can be traced back to the earliest times.

A rich variety of traditional dances and clothing still exists in Ghana today.

The earliest music was played on various drums and in recent years some of the western instruments has been added such as the electric guitar and the standard western drum set.
