The Kente Cloth
Festival cultural activity centers on the African
family oriented culture. History, art, music, and oral
literature of the African continent are presented at the
Kente Cloth Festival. |

The Westernized minority,
influenced by European culture, still rejects African
traditional cultures. We seek to revive these cultures
for the sakes of our youths. In doing so, we present the
following Asante customs and traditions in our festival

data about the birthplace, discovery and
evolution of kente cloth started 10,000 years
ago. Kente related to the word "kenten" which
means basket. It is a hand woven cloth

Workshop |

We offer kente weaving
programs ranging from In-Service teacher
workshops to Cultural Arts' building for
students. Each lecture has 45 minutes
and workshop 45 minutes maximum time
span. |
